Black Pepper PR alongside EMNL Consultancy were appointed by Rolls-Royce PLC to explore the issue of diversity in relation to their work experience programme.
We came up with a brief on how to get an insight into the way that young BAME’s from STEM backgrounds thought and felt about applying for the programme. Three questions that came to mind were:
We carried out a series of focus groups regionally with some young people from the BAME community in order to explore what they thought of the organisation. The participants were able to critically analyse what was presented to them from a branding perspective, which was great experience for the candidates in terms of development and acquiring new skill sets.
